Hallo Everyone!

My name is Bruno Kanieski I am from Curitiba - Brazil. I am studying in the Technischen Universität München. But, It is not in Munich, it is in Freising ( 30 min by train from Munich). The reason is I study Forestry and some courses like Biology, agriculture and whatever are in Freising! It works like in Brazil, some Universities have the "Rural" campus.

Studying here is one of the best experience in my life. Besides I have learned a new language and also about differents subjects regarding Forests I have made friends from everywhere, germans or not, and believe me Germans Students are not so diferent as brasilians. They also have problems with exams, money, and love parties!

I hope everybody is having a nice time in Europe and in Brazil!

See you guys!

Bruno.

Hi Guille,

I know Sao Carlos. It's a small city in Brazil, but very nice to live. It's a safe place, and there is a lot of students living there, so there are some good places to hang out! If you have doubts, you can ask me.

Kind Regards,
Samarina

Denise
Hi everybody,

Sorry for late reply, I´ve been in a rush to try to have everything done until the end of this month when I will be travelling to Munich...it has been very difficult to conciliate studies, my job and my little child (two years old).

I´m doctoral student in UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and I will be researching at TUM from September/2009 to February/2010. I will travel with my husband and my daughter and we will live very near TUM (Amelienstr.).

I wonder if there is anyone that will bring the family either.

I would really appreciate receiving hints about living in Munich - dealing with cold weather, living with child, good (and cheap!) restaurants (vegetarian preferably...) - and, of course, create opportunities to me and my family interact with others !! biggrin.gif

I hope we have a very good time and share good experiences !! wink.gif

Congratulations for everybody for achieving this great opportunity for studing abroad !!

Kind regards

Denise
